What is Play It Forward? CAMPAIGN

The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is proud to launch Play It Forward, a year-long awareness campaign to celebrate 20 years of impacting communities through the restoration of school music programs.

Play It Forward is a musical spin on the well known concept “pay it forward”. The idea is simple: a good deed is done for you and, in return, you pass that good deed forward to someone new. We keep the cycle going and spread our kindness on to one or more people, continuously improving each other’s situation.

“Playing It Forward” in reference to music can translate to many things like sharing music, a musical story or photo, taking a stand for music education, playing someone your favorite song, helping someone discover the joy of music, etc.

The Contests

As part of the celebration; we will be hosting interactive, mission-driven contests providing supporters with the opportunity to engage with the Foundation in a new way. Each quarter will feature a different contest with unique prizes focused around music. The anniversary celebrations will all lead up to our big Gala event in September 2017, bringing together donors, artists and friends of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to celebrate how far we have come in the name of music education.
